About Us
Queer Crafters is your go-to destination for handcrafted, LGBTQIA+ themed items that are as unique and vibrant as the community we aim to celebrate. Right in in the heart of Texas, we're a duo of queer crafters with a shared passion for creativity, inclusivity, and advocacy.
Every month is Pride month for us. Our journey is one of artistry, identity, and community. One half of our team is an intersex person whose experiences and resilience inspire our creations. Together, we channel our pride, not just in our identities but in our active participation within the community. From volunteering with local dog rescues to supporting the Texas Equality Alliance & other organizations, we're dedicated to making a difference, both within and beyond the LGBTQIA+ community.
Crafting has been a lifelong passion for both of us, a way to express ourselves, to connect, share a smile and to bring joy to others. It wasn't until late 2023, however, that we started to consider turning our passion into a platform. Queer Crafters was born out of the desire to share our love for crafting with a wider audience, to celebrate diversity, and to create a space where everyone can find something that resonates with their identity and pride.
Our crafts are more than just items; they are stories woven, stitched, printed, engraved and crafted with love. Each piece is started with the thinking "how can I incorporate rainbows into this?!" - it is infused with the spirit of Austin, reflecting the city's culture of diversity, creativity, and activism. Through our work, we aim to not only provide unique crafts but also to contribute to the visibility and support of the LGBTQIA+ community.
As we continue to grow and evolve, our mission remains the same: to craft with pride, to celebrate every identity, and to foster a sense of community and belonging. Whether you're in Austin or anywhere else in the world, we invite you to explore our collection and join us in celebrating the beauty of diversity through craft.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We're thrilled to share our journey with you and look forward to crafting a world that's as colorful and inclusive as the community we love.
